This week on the popular podcast “I See You” with Julie Lee, Provo Poetry co-founder Marianne Hales Harding speaks of the impact of a compassionate poetry community and why she feels having an open mic in Provo is important to writers and “I’m not really a writer”s alike.
“From the first time I talked with Julie about her podcast and its mission, I knew our work was aligned. Poetry is all about connections!” Marianne said when asked about the experience of being interviewed on the podcast. The podcast looks at the issues of depression and suicide, which resonates with many writers, but also focuses specifically on how being compassionate and truly seeing each other makes a difference for not only people struggling with depression but for everyone on the planet.
