Volunteer

If you have an hour a week or an hour a month to help promote poetry and poets in Utah County, please contact us and let us know what your talents are or any ideas you may have!

Specifically, we are looking for individuals, organizations, and companies to help us share poetry in creative ways–also known as “Guerilla Poetry.”

Additionally, we are looking for individuals to help Provo Poetry with administration, promotion, social media, graphic design, etc.

Marketing and Social Media Assistant (Volunteer Position)

This is a great opportunity to get involved with the local poetry scene, learn more about promoting poetry, how submission calls and press releases work, and get to meet great local poets who are nice people and will be forever grateful for your efforts!

Provo Poetry Marketing and Social Media Assistant will help manage the online content of our blog and social media streams (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) Assistants should have good working knowledge of social media platforms, be tech savvy to work with online tools, such as WordPress.com, and have excellent writing and communication skills.

This is a non-paying volunteer position with a minimum of 2 hours per week. (We will not discourage you from spending more time if you want to!) Most of the time spent will likely be spread out into a few minutes here and there, sharing content across social media platforms, putting up flyers, and promoting events, etc.

There will also be opportunities to participate in “guerrilla poetry” projects to help distribute poetry in Utah County in creative ways.
